So I just got a 3G iPhone with what turns out to be 4.1 OS already on it. I'm trying to put it on T-Mobile network. From what I've read today, it looks like jailbreaks for 4.1 came out today. I tried multiple ways to jailbreak my phone with hopes that the unlock would come soon enough.
The problem is nothing is sticking. I can get to DFU but besides that, all the phone does is complain about the SIM. I tried redsn0w with no success. Sn0wbreeze got me the farthest but upon a shift-restore, iTunes almost finished but gave a unknown 1600 error. I am unable to download sn0wbreeze's iREB which is supposed to help bypass such an error.
Well I got my iPhone down to 3.1.3 but I still can't JB the device. redsn0w won't recgonize the 3.1.3 .ipsw on both version 0.9.4 and 0.9.5. I get a 1600 error when trying to load sn0wbreeze .ipsw on the Phone and even Spirit is throwing an error 1. I am at a loss of things to do.
You can use Redsn0w 0.9.4 but point at 3.1.2 ipsw as Redsn0w doesn't recognize 3.1.3 ipsw. You can be on 3.1.3 and use it just need the 3.1.2 ipsw for Redsn0w.
So am I right in my understanding that there still isn't a crack out for bootloader 5.09? It seems just about all information I find on it is over a year old. Do we know if anyone is working on the problem, or should I just chuck my iPhone right out the window?
