Default Can You Turn Off Multi Tasking IP4 IOS4.1

Just been running some tests and today i have killed all apps after using them...

ALL DAY ON 3G NO WIFI

    unplugged 10AM

used irregelarly and not very frequently. prob couple of sms and checked twitter and facebook 3-4 times...

check battery again about 5pm and only used 5%

used same amounts again, checked now uk 8PM and on 90%

normally im on about 80% so i guess this is down to me killing all background tasks after use. which makes sense. now to kerb my OCD behaviour im looking to disable multi tasking to gain this batt life and tbh i dont really need it

im not jailbroken and running 4.1 on iPhone 4

    Many Thanks

If you were jailbroken you could download zToggle from cydia that allows you to turn off native multitasking.

You can't apple says it's a feature of iOS4 for 3GS and up, so the won't allow you to disable it without jailbreaking
