So, I'm looking forward to buy an iPhone 4 soon. I was wondering do all iPhone 4s have the antenna reception issue? I read if you hold a certain part of it, or the antenna band, which I think is on the lower left, the reception drops. I know their is bumper program available for this, but I was wondering if this is a problem for all iPhone 4s.
It seems to affect all iPhone 4's but I have had one since release and have yet to experience any real world problems relating to this. You have to hold it in a very specific way for it to happen and I guess I just dont hold it like that during regular use.
Just get a case that covers then silver band. The reason for the reception dropping is because something with the static in your body and the silver band when u touch it the reception drops.
I'm not worried about why the problem itself occurs, I'm worried if I go out and buy an iPhone 4 today, will I face this issue? It would be terribly inconvenient, on top of that I would have to get that stupid bumper. Does this occur on most iPhone 4s bought today?
Just listen to what these guys are saying will be an easy choice, i genuinally lose 1 bar differance without case, ive heard people go on about proximity sensors and dropping calls, its crap people must be on glue, me my wife and about 8 of my mates have an iphone4 without any problems and they like myself Love my iphone 4, accept no substatute, really.Smuj.
I never notice a death grip unless I actually try (completely grip hand round phone tight) especially with a bumper on I say get one they are amazing compared to older models
