Default HDR on 4.1 -- .... it blows.

I took a few pics of the room in hdr and they look like absolute ****.. all it looks like is the brightness was turned up and contrast was turned up...

And you cant make any adjustments to the HDR..

Anyone else try it out? I havent used it outside yet but still...

cant see the image your referring to, but my guess is the fact you dont have it in enough light. hdr works by taking several different shots at different exposures, then using apple's "algorithm" to configure the best exposure ration for the pictures. im probably totally wrong on that lol.

either way, make sure you actually do have hdr enabled "not sure how it works im still on my jailbroken 4.1. i would say dont knock it till you at least get to outside in the sunlight and try a couple of different pics, at different angles. you have to play around with it, i guess...

Looks like the brightness is turned up so high that it's just blinding white light.

    Post the photos next time...

I'm guessing u have the 3G or 3GS. The HDR is only for the iPhone 4.

Sometimes exposure is off here and there but it's far from "blows".
