I guess I don't enough posts to ask this in the buy/sell area, so I figured I'd ask here.

We are going to sell our iPhone 3G's so we can upgrade. How does one go about selling an iPhone? Regular phones one keeps the SIM chip, I think, what about the iPhone?

Anything special we need to do to the phone before selling?

wipe out all personal info by doing a firmware restore. take out your sim, sell it.

yeah i would go to setting general reset then wipe everything out and restore... keep your sim.. and sell

restore, jailbreak and sell...make sure u restore to a jailbreakable firmware

I second the jailbreak. It should fetch a few more bucks if it's jailbroken.

Oh crap, maybe I messed up. I did the erase all settings etc and then pulled the SIM. Is that going to be a problem for someone else to restore it?

Hitting the erase all makes the phone do a restore.

Definitely restore and re-jailbreak/unlock, i sold one with and one without on ebay, i got 80 more dollars for the modded 2g with enabled mms,
