lol i guess the problem here is that you cant hack iphone 4.1 to get the game center app out. lol is there anyway to explore the firmware?

Ok well, the guy that said to exctract from the ipsw was right. Here is the 3gs gamecenter app from 4.1GM. It crashes on my iphone4. Anyone want to try it out?

how did you get that off the 4.1gm for 3gs?

The decryption key is out there to decrypt the root file system dmg. So I decrypted it and got the app. The question is if we can figure out what we need to get it working. I'm guessing the reason it crashes is because we need specific frameworks or something...Anyway, if you want to have a look at the file system for 4.1gm, do some research on "vfdecrypt keys."

i tweeted comex and planetbeing and asked if one of them could grab it out...i'm sure they are all up in that firmware lol. it would be nice of them to take the 2 mins grab it out and post it for us.

I have a modified version of Game Center posted on my repo. I am running 4.0.1 jailbroken on a iPhone 4, I found a Game Center.app file on the web. Packed it into a .deb and got it to install on my iPhone. I can log in but that's as far as I got. I have no idea if games work with it. I was going to mess with it more this weekend. Anyone is more then welcome to check it out and let me know what they find. i-Mods

I tried yours out, it doesn't log in though - just sits forever at the loading screen.


I only wanted to use it to register a username anyway, as otherwise I won't be able to reserve on until the 4.1 jailbreak is out. Oh well, I'll just take my chances
