Tips for ios4 update

I'm planning on updating from 3gs 3.1.3 jb with spirit to 4.01 jb with jailbreakme.com. (hopefully) I'll be using a guide from a nice guy on here and just wondered if u could give any tips advice or recomend any apps (apple or cydia) to get. I have in mind: mmi app, yourtube2, iMovie, iBooks, and a few others from cydia I could only get with ios4. Thanks guys.

I always install an SMS app.. now I use biteSMS but I used to use iRealSMS but the latter isnt so gd anymore i dnt think!

others include infinidock/infiboard/infinifolder/GridLock and Firewall IP! Ull be surprised how many calls apps make to home!

iSteamy is defo the app you want ;p
But if I read right u wna go from 3.1.3 to 4.0.1, as far as I know you can't update with out going to 4.0.2

I appreciate your comment but u shouldn't realy leave false information incase other people reading this actualy belive it. I have shsh blobs saved in cydia for 4.01 so I will just use tiny umbrella to get to 4.01 on my 3gs. So yes, I can update without being stuck on 4.02

how do you have shsh blobs saved for 4.0.1 if your on 3.1.3 unless you have already had 4.0.1 and downgraded

if you make a shsh blob on any firmware, your good to go for all available firmware (up to 4.0.1)

nope only ever been on 3.1.2 and 3.1.3, cydia saves all when u click make my life easier. what is it with people posting comments that are false? if your not sure just say, thats why where all here, to help or be helped.
