cant access internet?T full wifi connection???

can somone please help me???
i have 3 FULL WIFI BARS AND MY IPHONE 3G IS APARENTLY CONNECTED TO MY HOME NETWORK.

but wheni try safari, or any web based app i get that safari cant open page because its not connected to the internet,

its new i just bought it from a friend, and it wont go on the internet :/
i jail broke it on 4.0 with my custom frimware.
poblem still exist but it was ther before and i really dont htink its an issue as deep as fw, im thinking its just a dumbass setting i dont know about

please help!!!

also in my settings theres nothing next to router, dns, or search domains and it wont let me edit "router" i can do dns and domains, hope this helps. HELP

and my dcph numbers are different than my brothers iphone we live in the same house, same network, his works mine doesnt how do i edit ip adress? it wont let me >.<
