not syncing

i have a jailbroken 3gs on 3.1.3 jailbroken with spirit
always worked fine then today after installing tetherme from cydia my iphone stopped showing up in itunes or windows explorer. tried reinstalling and uninstalling tetherme but no luck, tried rebooting, uninstlling and reinstalling itunes, still nothing. any help will be greatly appreciated! thank you

Unfortunately it sounds like you may need to put it in DFU mode and do a restore. Then downgrade and rejailbreak, I hope you have your blobs saved.

if all else fails im just going to SSH it and delete some files so it just gets stuck on the boot screen and go get a new one from best buy with the black tie insurance
just want to be able to backup all my contacts and pics
any way to do this without hooking up to itunes?
