How to Avoid Restore mode when iPhone 3gs restarts

Hey I am wondering if there is any way to avoid for a 3Gs to not go into restore mode when it shuts off?

Yup, you can restore to 3.1.2-4.0.1 and use jailbreakme to jailbreak. I'm guessing you used blackra1n on 3.1.2 since what your describing is a tethered jailbreak.

yea i do have 3.1.2 on blackra1n also is there any way to upgrade to 4.0.1 so i can still keep my phone unlocked i have tmobile

Try my guide here, you can unlock with ultrasn0w once jailbroken again on 4.0.1
