Signal bars on Iphone 3GS

Will I ever see more than 3 bars for 3G for AT&T? Hardly see 4 or 5 bars unless I am outside. I drop down to edge more often now when 3G is down to 1 bar. Ughhhhhhhhhhhh

Should have stayed with iOS 4.0 instead of updating to 4.0.1 and now 4.0.2

Go back to iOS 4.0 then

Whether you have 5 bars on 4.0 or 2 bars on 4.0.1 it's still the same signal strength. 4.0.1 just gives a more accurate display of that signal strength, hence less bars.
