Iphone 3gs restore help

Alright, so I want to restore my jailbreak 3GS, but there seems to be a problem I've encountered.

When pressing the "restore" button, I was given an option. Restore & Update or Cancel.



Does this mean if I restore my 3GS, it will also be updated with the restore? Is there any way around this and restore it without the update?

Yes, follow the instructions in the link below. Also, when you go to restore with iTunes, download the IPSW for the firmware you wish to stay at (iClarified has all the download links for all firmware broken down by device, and I believe they are here on modmyi under downloads).

If you are on a Mac hold down OPTION WHILE you click on Restore
On Windows, hold down CNTRL (i think anyway) then select the IPSW for the firmware you wish to restore too. So long as your ECID SHSH is saved in Cydia (it will tell you on the top of the page when you open Cydia what they are saved for) you will be good to go... Just make sure you follow the directions in the link below.
