jailbroken 3gs stuck on apple logo

So Im supposed to sell my 3gs tonite and since I had it jailbroken and had a lot of pics and videos and numbers to get rid off I went to settings>general>reset>erase all contents and settings .... now the phone gets stuck on the apple screen and after I hold the power button a couple of times it starts the whole process again ... any idea on what I did or what I have to do?

Do you have your shsh's stored on Cydia?

If yes which ones?

i dont even know what shsh's are :/ all I had was cydia and some some regular cydia apps also **********

Did you jailbreak the iphone or was it jailbroken when you got it

When opening Cydia did it say the This device has SHSHs on file for iphone OS then some numbers?

I would be right under Home-Cydia header.

no, i jailbroke it myself, i just googled shsh, i never did that it was on 4.0.1 jailbroken about a week ago and i just had regular cydia things. ... no it never said anything on cydia about shsh's

If Apple is still signing 4.0.1 you could download firmware here under downloads for 3GS 4.0.1

Then do a shift restore and choose that ispw and if Apple is still signing it will restore then you can use jailbreakme.com

Download FireFox browser to download the ispw file because it saves the file as .ispw where others download it as .zip

I dont want to jailbreak it again, i just want to set it to its normal apple software ... let the other guy jailbreak it if he wants to

Just plug it into itunes and let it update!

it worked, i plugged it in while it was frozen on the apple logo, then held down the power and home button at the same time then it reset itself and since i already had it plugged in i held the home button as soon as it restarted and it gave the usb itunes restore logo ... thanks a lot bro
