Default Any way to preserve app and folder states/positions when backing up?

I just got my replacement iPhone 4 today in the mail, so just before I pulled it out of the box I did a backup via iTunes on my "old" iPhone 4. However, when I did the restore to the new phone all of my apps and folders were scattered and strewn about.

Is there any way to have the backup process preserve the layout of my screens, complete with which apps go in which folders, and the order in which I have the apps and folders arranged on each screen?

Ok so I'm not 100% but I'm99%sure lol
If you go to system/library/coreservices/springboard.app and take a copy of DefaultApplicationState.plist and put it back in the same place on your new I4 once you have all the apps on it
I'm pretty sure this will work GOOD LUCK!
