Can I fix frozen apple logo iphone without restoring
Hi, can I fix a friend's iphone 3G 3.1.3 jailbroken shsh not saved frozen on apple logo, without restoring and losing data?
I'm on windows.

Probably not. But if your friend has synced recently they won't lose to much data. Just choose the restore from backup after the restore finishes.

you can try to SSH into the phone while it's on bootup.
If so then you can try
a) removing the last program he installed (which probably caused the boot cycle)
b) renaming applications directory to applications2
then rename back once it starts up and uninstall the program that caused it.
worth a shot at least.

No that's the thing, he never synced at all..which is why I asked.
But thanks you guys, I did a reset and re-JB it like I use to do with mine. Difference is I do have backups lol
I also read about editing .plist files while in DFU, and/or SSH and save files you'd want to restore.
Looks like good options that I may try next time my iPhone freezes
