Cydia can't get gpg updates - Bad URL
I'm getting a bunch of BAD URL errors when Cydia tries to load the updates, examples:
Failed to fetch
Apple, iPhone & iPad Forums | ModMyi.com Bad URL
Failed to fetch:
modmy.com Bad URL
and a couple others.
I went into Rock and re-installed Cydia and Cydia Community Sources and it doesn't fix it.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me on resolving this. (Running iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0.1)
Re-installed modmyi source and that fixed it.Last edited by consultant1027; 08-07-2010 at 12:34 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Ugh. Having this problem again. Looks like re-installing modmyi source didn't fix it?

I host my own mini source, I know 100% it's online as I can load www.finalbillybong.com but. Cydia says bad URL when I try and download from apt.finalbillybong.com
This site and source have been working for over a year with no changes made to it. Why would Cydia all of a sudden decide it's a bad URL?Last edited by FinalBillybong; 08-26-2010 at 07:14 PM.

Remove them then readd. Cyfix will do the job or SSH in and find them. Forgot which path to follow tho...

FCSB Uninstall Error Fix
SSH Or use iFile
Delete Folder: /Library/FCSB
Delete File : /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/FCSB.dylib
(** Thanks to "kostvin" @ xsellize dot com for the fix)
This is the one that worked for me. I used iFile to remove the files and it was instant after the respring.
Many others have reports that seem to have fixed the problem for other users. None of these worked for myself personally as those options were not available. I was not able to install RockApp as my ModMyI source had been mysteriously removed in safe mode.
A. GoTo > Settings > FCSB -> TURN IT OFF AND TRY UNINSTALL
B. GoTo > Cydia > Install "RockApp" > Uninstall "FCSB" though RockApp
C GoTo > Terminal > Enter "dpkg -u com.xsellize.fcsb; apt-get remove com.xsellize.fcsb"
The first two were not an option avail to me. FCSB was in listed in my Settings so i could not turn it "OFF". The second option was not avail and was described above.
I hope that this information will become of value to someone.Last edited by theDirtyDuB; 09-02-2010 at 01:06 AM.

USE iFile or SSH
=================
This is a result from problems with sources in Cydia. Sometimes it accpets bad sources and then reliazes they are no good. Or a source goes down. So it kicks back the [GPG Error] everytime you load Cydia. There are two options.
(First)
Navigate to /private/var/lib/apt/lists
- in that folder find and delete the sources that appeared
in Cydia next to the GPG Error.
(Also)
Navigate to /private/var/stash/Aplications/Cydia.app/Sources/
- Now again delete the source related to the GPG Error.
Really its not doing anything that would need you to Restore,
But if you still get the errors after this then i would Restore & Re-JB
(ONLY if you have your SHSH file saved in Cydia!!!)
