No update notifications on Cydia

I dont know if somebody is having this problem with Cydia, but everytime you open Cydia and look on changes, if an update exists it is showed in there but no icon notification in Cydia app about any update. Is that a bug?

Same here. But if you open Cydia, see that there are indeed changes and then close Cydia - you'll see the red notification of updates on the Cydia icon . . . .

Yep you're not the only one. Mine never shows notification while cydia is open unless i actually go to the changes section. it's weird

I have to load cydia then exit before it will notify me that there are updates.

I wonder if this is a Cydia issue, a jailbreakme issue or an iOS4 incompatability issue.

What is everyone running?

I have a 3G(S) old bootrom iOS 4.0.1 using Jailbreakme 2.0

Edit: I also noticed that status bar notifications do not work or dissappear (using notifier with libstatusbar) in Cydia as well until I exit.
