hi guys i just got an new iphone today and i was woundering if i was possible to still unlock and not to update tp 1.1.1
i mean my mac still have the 1.0.2 firm.
how could i get this file from itune so i can use it for the jailbreaking and also the very first step is to put ur phone in recovery can restore with itune.. if i am not online would itune restore my phone to 1.0.2?

i guess bottom line is how to unlock a new phone today

You can be my test subject for this. On this fourm, people have said if you hold atl and click restore, it will allow you to choose the firmware. I cannot confirm this for MAC but I will be trying this when I get my Iphone in a week.

Try following that guide but use ALT instead of shift. Let me know if that works. That is suppose to be the shortcut key for Macs.

What does it matter what the CURRENT software and firmware is if you don't have it? Don't run update, plain and simple.
