How will I buy a iPhone 4 from Best Buy?
I don't really know how to do this so I'm just asking for some help I'm planning on buying a 16GB no commitment price for $599. Here's my questions.
Do I just ask them to sell for me off contract?
Also I heard about the free Zagg for the attenae area, how do I get into that?
Last one is that will they activate the phone meaning that it will get passed the insert sim screen? After that I can jailbreak then unlock once its out?
Thanks

If you do not sign a contract they will not activate it.
They should do the zagg no matter since it applies to all iPhone 4s.

Could I atleast buy it? Then take it home and get a ATT sim that is not active and cut it up and use it like that to activate then unlock when it supposedly comes out tonight?

They should let you. There are a lot of people that have bought it full price. If anything tell them it is a gift if they throw a fit.

I am not sure. I haven't tested an unactive sim before. (I am an ATT customer) But people order sims on ebay all the time so I am guessing those have to be non active too. So it should work.

That is why the community is here. Hopefully someone here will clear up the unactive sim card thing for me and you by morning.

You can use another sim no problem. IPhone 4 is also now able to "hacktivate" so that you don't need a sim at all. Google it. Let me know if best buy let's u buy it, I wanna buy it too

no they dont, i activate mine using my ipad 3g microsim, now its jailbreaked and waiting for unlock, if your planning to buy 1 at apple store, call the nearest apple retail store in your place and make a reservation through phone, some retail stores dont accept reservation through phone, you need to be in their store to make a reservation, i made 5 reservations just to make sure im getting one lol

edit: to bypass the no sim card screen in order to access the homescreen try this..
- eject microsimcard
- connect itunes
- insert microsim
- reboot phone
ive done is many times in my 3gsLast edited by llj143; 08-04-2010 at 12:25 AM.
