Best SMS Apps

Hi all.. i really dont like the default SMS apps for the iphone 3gs.. well mainly because it doesnt show how many characters im typing and/or no. of link messages.. thus im afraid ive reached the max limit.. do iphone expects me to count all characters??

so yea... i was wondering if u guys can provide me the BEST SMS APPS for iphone 3gs... the free or paid or maybe a paid(cracked) ones and guide me on ways to install them and disable the current SMS apps so they dont conflict...

LoL... i cant find that... in my settings > messages> only have Show preview, Repeat Alert, MMS Messaging and Show Subject Field.. :S
