Skype not working with Jailbroken 4.0

I just jailbroke my iPod touch 3G with JailbreakMe.com 2.0 and doing that, I installed skype to try multitasking. I called the skype test number, hit the home button and seen the red status bar saying skype. This was good, yes? But the red bar disappeared within the second. We all know skype never liked jailbroken phones/ipods but, Mobile Substrate supposedly patched that..
