Mail App gmail account

Just setup my gmail account on my iPhone 4 with the exchanges settings. For some reason i can't see any emails on my device. Just getting only emails from time i did the setup. Even if on settings i change show last 200 msg.. old emails not showing.. any suggestion?

that what i exactly did.. i can send and receive new emails. But older emails don't show up..

Hmmm they should. Check your settings in gmail again
