Canadian iPhone 4 users... (DeathGrip)
I cannot reproduce the issue, I get a solid 5 bars on Rogers.
What about you?
EDIT:
I cannot replicate the issue within most of Ottawa. However, at my house which is on the outskirts I can bring it down to "No Service" if I touch the magic spot in my basement, and bring it down to one bar on the main level and upstairs.Last edited by sensown; 07-31-2010 at 07:43 AM.

My iPhone (USA) model is after week 26 and has no issues. I believe they fixed it after week 26, that's why they're only giving free cases until august

how do you verify what week your iphone was produced? A friend of mine has the problem on the same network, same location as me

I just traded in my iPhone 4 that I bought on day 1, and got a new one from the apple store today! Mine was giving me some home button issues so I complained enough and they gave me a new one.
Some interesting facts
-I can't get it to death grip
-it came with 4.0(not 4.0.1) installed
-I was able to order another free case with the app from the appstore
This makes me wonder if they actually fixed the death grip. As far as the 2nd free case, I have yet to get a confirmation e-mail that Apple got the order, but who knows!!
Update: Hellz Ya, just got my confirmation e-mail from Apple. Two free cases for me, Yaaaaaay!!!Last edited by kmmxracer; 07-30-2010 at 10:01 PM.

I didn't need a receipt, I got my iPhone 4 from a friend and then just registered it in my name when iTunes asked me to from first sync. So when I went into the Apple store the phone was already registered to me. They swapped it out no questions asked. I have also registered iPhones that I have got off craigslist by just taking it to the Apple Store and telling them I just bought it.

Yea, the only reason u would need a receipt is if you wanted to return it. As long as no water marks are busted then they will swap it out quick, usually no questions asked.

Sweet. Mine was just shipped from China Wednesday. It's been stuck on Lantau Island the past two days. I heard apple items have been known to be stuck there awhile. Get on the plan!! Lol

I have no issues with the DeathGrip. As soon as I was activated and they were doing the second phone I purchased, I tried it in the Apple Store with no ill affects. Few people I was in line with did the same thing and no degradation of signal bars. I have tried it while driving around in the GTA and no noticeable drop. Only place I can get to do it is in my house, but it only drops 1 bar, maybe 2 max. Signal is not that great in my house to begin with.
I would say, all in all, it has not affected me at all. Maybe our networks are better than AT&T?? I am on Rogers btw, with two iPhone4 32GB.
