Save download files (jpeg, mp3, pdf, etc) from safari? How?!?
Is there a tweak I need or do I need to use a 3rd party browser? I would really love to nit have to sync from my CPU constantly as I travel frequently and it's such a pain carrying my laptop and/or remembering to DL something at home after a trip. Please help!

I find GoodReader is a very useful app, lets me read my docs offline on my iPhone.

Have you tried Safari Download Manager. It's available in Cydia. Take a look here.
