This could be due to this St*pid Muiltitasking. Always close all apps in Muiltitask.

That's new. Never seen that screen on my original iPhone, 3G, or 3GS's. I've been running iOS4 on my 3GS since day 1 and been multitasking daily with no temp warning

Double tap home to bring up what is open. Hold one of the apps for a few seconds (like you wanted to reorder icons on the home screen). They should wiggle and you'll see an x on the top right of each icon. Just start hitting the x's till they are gone.

Anyone ever find a cause/fix for this? My sister called me a week ago to tell me she had it and I hadn't heard of the problem, then today I was sitting at my desk at home and heard a mBox Mail notification so i grab the phone and see the exact same screen showing up. Finally had to reboot into safemode to get it to sync with iTunes b/c it kept respringing when I plugged it in otherwise.

I don't know the cause of the overheating, but my brand new iPhone 4 running 4.0.2 was overheating. Also the battery would drain from full charge to less then 10% in about 6 hours while I was sleeping. Since I could not jailbreak it yet I upgraded to 4.1 and it has been fine since.
