OK Bumper fitted and still signal fail, WTF Steve the twin fix of 4.01 with the new signal bars with a Bumper fitted and still I get the evil deathgrip. I think I'm going back to my 3GS and returning this. I'll wait for the proper fix or get a Nexus One...

Do you actually see bars stoping or do you just have no bars to begin with? Because when mine is in a case it's just fine.
Edit: sorry I didn't realize it was a video. Thought it was a pic. That sux.

yes if affects calls, I'm not left handed but I do hold my phone in my left had and naturally have always held it they way Steve would prefer us not to becuse its the most secure way to hold a phone worth £500. and when I do the call signal gets worse and eventually drops out unless I change to fingertip hold which does not feel secure at all.Eric's iPhone 4 4.01 offically unlocked

The inconsistencies between phones is interesting. Starting with 5 bars, wIthout the bumper, my iphone loses 2 bars, with the bumper I only lose 1. However, in some places I will completely lose signal w/o the bumper but remain at 2 bars with. Cant figure out why the differences in location other than perhaps signal strength. My opinion is that the bumper merely IMPROVES things, does not FIX them.

I always noticed my bars bouncing up n down even with a belkin clear case from day 1.
Without the case the bars drops fast, but with the case it take 10-20 seconds to drop.

this is the best (yet worst) iPhone and I think I'm keepin my iPhone 3G
I'll wait for a better, newer, proper iPhone ( call it 4G or iPhone 5) I just hope they include 4G network capability like HTC's Evo phone!
