Need some help/advice with my iPhone 3G
sorry didnt know where to put this...

okay so last night i was laying on the ground listening to music with my headphones plugged in. i jumped off of the ground and my headphone jack ripped out of the iPhone. now the volume control on the left side doesnt work and also the power button at the top right doesnt work.
i called Apple and they said i need to bring it in so they can check to see if its hardware problems...
if its not then i will have to pay for a brand new iPhone
lol so im wondering is there anything i can do to mess up something in the hardware so i dont have to pay for a brand new one?

I dont think its hardware. My iphone fell out of my pocket with headphones plugged in, when it fell and hit the ground the jack ripped out too. I dont think it was severe enough to cause hardware problems if mine wasnt affected. Try to restore your phone and see if that fixes it.
