    Default Sluggish JB iPhone3g-iOS4?
I have a jailbroken and carrier unlocked via software iphone3g that I upgraded from 2.1 to 3.0 to 3.12 to 3.13 ... I always used sbsettings and its shortcuts to enable-disable wifi, insomnia, etc.
For me it was a perfect combination.
Last week I upgraded my cell to the new iOs4 and reinstalled everything, did the upgrades via cydia. Did the same to my wife's cell phone...
    The performance hit with the
new os was enormous. I tried almost everything to make the phone usable again, deleted apps from cydia and from the app store, unloaded processes frpm the memory with apps like free memory but the results were minimal and temporary.
Yesterday I was about to quit and downgrade to 3.13.
As a last chance to the new ios I unninstalled the ACTIVATOR app tha tcame with the sbsettings upgrade. Of course it unninstalled the whole sbsettings.
The thing is, my 3g was back to normal speed.
I tried reinstalling sbsettings without the activator app but it doesnt. With activator the phone lost performance again.
I did the same to my wife's cell phone and got the exact same results.
Its a pitty not being able to use sbsettings but the performance hit is not worth.
Does ne1 have the same problem?
Is there a way to install sbsettings for the iOS4 without Activator?

due to sbsettings now using ACTIVATOR for the new override commands functions like opening apps changing, songs, all by a simple swipe gesture or holding a button; i dont think it will be possible to install sbsettings without it as there would be no way to access it.
Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.
