Speaker Wont Work After Diconnecting Headphones - HELP!
I got an iphone 2G running 3.1.2. When I take my headphones out my phone, the speaker is muted. Its annoying! The phone thinks that its still connected to the headphones. How can I fix this isue so that it doesnt happen again?

Look inside and see if there is something stuck down in there. Plug the headphones in and out of the headphone jack real quick a couple times. If that doesnt work try blowing some compressed air down in there.
Have they released the jailbreak in the app store yet?

Do a hard reset. Hold the home and power buttons until the phone turns off.

yea do a hard reset and wait for apple's update to come out

it's hardware...plug and unplug real fast like mentioned above and then compressed air and if worst comes to worst and it really bugs you a q-tip with such a miniscule amount of water that it doesn't feel wet at all should clean it well....The Next Generation of Phreaks.

Just make sure you don't use a crazy psi when using compressed air..
My buddy had the same problem in his phone.. turned out to be dirt in the hole
