Iphone 4 video full screen

Hey, ive made an iphone 4 video project in imovie for mac, but all my exports are coming out with the iphone aspect ratio. I see on youtube people have it full screen.

How do you do this? If i pick bigger dimensions i just get black down the sides!

When your videoing are you holding the i4 vertical or horizontal? From the sound of it your holding it vertical so you wont get the full screen. Try holding your i4 horizontal when recording.

Damn makes sense, I recorded all my holiday video in the blimmin portrait mode! Is there any programs I can use to make it a little wider?
