redsn0w problem?

Has anybody else been having a problem with redsn0w where it automatically installs wallpaper/multitasking when you jailbreak? I specifically made sure NOT to click it (did install a custom boot logo though), yet when I loaded back up...there was wallpaper and multitasking. This has happened several times and is really getting annoying. I'm tempted to go to the regular 4.0 (I'm on GM now) and use snowbreeze.

You were supposed to be on the regular IOS4. Did you read the enitre comments on Dev-Team Blog they said specifically you need the public release.

Yes I did read it, but aren't the GM and the public release the exact same thing? When I hit "update" through itunes it says that i'm on the current version and wont let me update to the public release.

I dot think they are the same thing. Download the public release and on iTunes use shift key and click on the restore button. You then have the option of choosing the firmware file. Choose the public one.
