Why would you disable Cydia? I have it on my phone, but I have never opened it. Doe that App really make the phone run that much slower>
I just reran Redsnow on 3G. I left the battery display, Cydia, and multi-tasking. I deselected the background function, and also turned of all spotlight choices and now my phones runs just as fast as it did on 3.3. It is AMAZING. I hope this helps any other newbs out there like me LOL.
Thanks

The reason you de-select Cydia is not because you don't want Cydia on the phone (it won't remove Cydia either). It's because installing Cydia on a phone that already has Cydia installed can/will cause problems that might only be fixable by a restore. Maybe the fact that you had never used it, made you avoid this problem.
But for future reference, always de-select the 'Install Cydia' option if Cydia is already on the phone. Don't worry, you won't lose the app.
Just to add, having Cydia installed doesn't make the phone go any faster or slower. We're all just toymakers in the game of life.
