Parts needed to fix my iPhone 3Gs?

Hello all, I searched around in the forums to find a repair sub-forum but had no luck, so I apologize if I posted in the wrong forum.

But this is what happened, my iPhone 3Gs has a cracked screen, it turned on, my MacBook recognizes it but the screen is completely white with a black smudge on the top.

Reason this happened is because someone tried to steal my iPhone from me. So I am attempting to fix this myself.

So I would like to know which parts and tools do I need to buy from eBay to fix this little guy.

Never had to fix broken Iphone!

I do know that they are a lot of repair people in my area listing on Craigslist.

Pick one in your area that will let you wait while it is being fixed!
