could facetime 3gs?

what are the chances of facetime coming to the 3gs, third party, but using only one camera? I figure all you need it porting the software, and tricking it into thinking theres iphone 4 hardware

I figure eventually someone will create an app or, more likely, an existing app will add support for facetime. Perhaps AIM, fring, qik, etc? Apple is trying to make it an industry standard (which would mean other phones could "facetime" with the iPhone), so there is no reason why even existing webcam chat software couldn't add support, allowing you to facetime from your PC to an iPhone.

Same reason they didn't add video recording on the 3G on the 4.0 update. They want you to buy thier NEW product, not keep the old one and get everything from the new phone on your old phone.

I very much doubt you will get facetime on the 3Gs. Makes sense. Don't blame them.
