iPhone 3G iOS4 No Cellular Data Network Tab
ok so after almost 9 hours of getting error code 37 from iTunes while tryin to restore, I finally got iOS4 on my iPhone 3g. Jailbreak & unlocking went fine. Went to unlockit.co.nz n installed a TMobile APN Profile. Then i noticed that i couldnt send MMS because the camera icon was gone. Thats when i noticed that the Cellular Data Network tab was missing in Settings>General>Nework..

so i deleted the APN profile thinking it would fix the problem.. NOPE. now i have no data, internet or mms.
Is there anything i can download from cydia or whereever that will fix this issue or provide a workaround?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, im a newbie here..

Im having this same problem to! I did a complete restore and it worked. Then I added something that made my spring board keep crashing. So I had to restore again. Now back to nothing, and have done a number of restores! I dont know why it goes in and out like that. PLEASE HELP!

I'm having the same problem. I've restored my phone like 10 times and nothing has worked, yet. I would hate to downgrade this back to 3.1.3 until the final version comes out. Any fixes?

Im having this issue as well, with the cellular data network tab missing and instead just a cellular data on and off toggle. Whats going on here!? Im also a newbie so if someone can please help, that would be greatly appreciated.

redsn0w has just updated to 9.5 beta 5 which should fix this problem. Be sure to de-select 'Install Cydia' if your iPhone has already been jailbroken. Just make sure you have wap.voicestream.com for the cellular data network APN at the top. Leave username and password blank. And then enter the rest for the mms to start working.

So will re-jailbreaking it with the Redsn0w Beta 5 release (without Cydia) fix the Cellular Data Network problem? Or should I try the Supreme Preferences 3.0 fix? I have an iPhone 3G, iOS 4, 5.13.04, jailbroken with Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-4, unlocked with Ultrasn0w 0.93. I bought my phone from Rogers in Canada but I live in India now, so I guess my next question is should I re-jailbreak it with my Rogers SIM card or my Indian one? Thank you in advance for any help!

If it is locked to Rogers you will need to rejailbreak and use the Rogers sim!
It will try to activate, which it will not unless you have a avtive contract with Rogers just choose dismiss and procced with your unlock!
If the phone is factory unlocked you should be able to use sim from any carrier!

Go to Cydia and install the legacy carrier bundle and it will bring your tab back. That or the enable MMS package will do the same.
Note: internet2.voicestream.com does not block wifi. I use internet2 and my wifi works just fine.
