June 24th question?
So If I go to my local store early in the morning as early as 12am does it mean that when the apple store opens I will be able to buy a phone while supplies last or is it preorders only?

The fact that they're talking about separate lines for reservations and for walk-ins would suggest they'll have inventory for non-reserved, but the way this launch has gone, you never know.
If I were you, I'd go for it. Maybe even earlier than midnight though.

If you're going to wait somewhere, I'd make it Apple Store if I were you.

Theres a VERY good chance Apple will be the only place to have iPhones to sell to walk in customers tomorrow.

I second what ianbroste said. My opinion is: if you have an Apple Store near you, go there for walk-ins. If you have more than one in your area, go to the most suburban/least urban one.
... and if you don't have any Apple stores in your area, it might be a real crapshoot at Walmart or any other retailers.

I'm thinking you'll see others lined up already. If not, I'm guessing just find the closest entrance.
