i torrent a lot of .MKV's, yet i have never been able to convert them into a proper video file for ipod/iphone.

im dealing with subtitles too, so anyone have a *FREE* solution to this?

I'm not sure about the subtitles but you can use Handbrake (HandBrake) which already has presets for the iPhone. It's freeware so no watermarks etc.
