Can we get iphone 4 sim free from apple stores in the UK?

hi,
i read in several places that buying the iphone 4 from the apple online store will get u a SIM free version. i wanted to know if you go to the Apple store, can we still get the iphone 4 SIM free straight from the store. Or is getting the iphone from the online store the only way to get it sim free?

I'm pretty sure no matter where you buy it from (Apple.com, Apple store, AT&T online, AT&T store, Best Buy, Radio Shack) will come with a sim card.

BTW sim free = Unlocked ...
