Upgrading from 4G iPhone to 4G iphone?
Yes, the title is correct.
So I pre-ordered my 32GB 4G iPhone on Tuesday for $499 (only eligible for partial upgrade) from the Apple website and it will arrive on the 24th. When I go to back to the Apple website and click on pre-order and then "Replace a phone on my account with a new iPhone", the site allows me to add another iphone to my cart for the $499 price rather than $699. Is this a crack in the system? Can I keep going back and "upgrading" my phone in order to get a bunch of iPhones at a discounted price? I've also noticed that it will only allow me to have one iphone in my cart at a time since I only have one line but if I just keep doing it as a new "replacement" order, then it doesn't say anything

I highly doubt it. I bet the systems are still not caught up from all of the pre-orders. I bet if you tried it you would get one of the order canceled emails from AT&T.

Doesnt the G stand for Generation, as in 4th Generation of iphone?

considering that the iPhone3g was 2nd generation Im going to have to answer that with a big Negative. It does not stand for generation.
iPhone 2007
iPhone3G 2008 <--2nd Generation with 3 after it.
iPhone3Gs 2009
iPhone4 2010
*the new iPhone is not 4G compatible, so when AT&T launches their 4G Network commercially (probably in mid to late 2011) their will be the iPhone4G close to its arrival...we hope?Last edited by ChrisRC1985; 06-18-2010 at 11:45 AM.
