Downgrading iPhone 3gs

I want to downgrade my iPhone 3gs to 3.1.2
but whenever i try it says that its not eligable for that
i looked at the guides here but it doesn't work
does anyone know how?

There's not much reason to downgrade to 3.1.2 anymore since Spirit can jailbreak 3.1.3 and the baseband isn't downgradable anyway meaning you can't downgrade and unlock.

It is, but you can't downgrade the baseband so if your baseband is 05.12.01 now, it'll also be after you downgrade to 3.1.2

You need to give me more info on your phone. Firmware, baseband, method of jailbreaking, reasons for wanting to restore to 3.1.2
