iOS 4 GM battery question

Hi,

I updated my iPhone 3GS to 4.0 GM the other day and it seems to me that the battery doesn't last as long now... Anyone else notice anything like that or am I just imagining things?

Also it appears that my cell reception is better... Last night as I was riding a subway I noticed that I had almost full signal strength in a stretch that many times the signal would cutout when I was on 3.1.2. Has anyone noticed improved signal strength?

I think the battery lasts longer. But I set it up as a new iPhone, didn't restore a backup, maybe that's why?
I also noticed I have 5 AT&T bars a lot more now.

something else I noticed today... after making or receiving a call the screen won't turn back on after pulling the phone away from your ear...
