    Default Wierd Email Function
    Greetings:

Had a problem with my 3gs email where I could not delete messages - slide/delete was ignored (more info if needed). So I did a 3.1.3 restore.

    Here is my scenario:
Clean restore to 3.1.3 on 3Gs
Setup quick connection to test hotmail account
    Start iphone mail app
Syncs fine - one test message there
    Read message
    Shows as read
    Turn off iphone
remove test email on hotmail via another connection
    Turn on iphone
    Start mail
    Message returned to unread state

    Another test
do same but delete new message
moves from inbox to trash folder
    Stop and start iphone
Message has moved from trash folder back to inbox as unread

Why is this happening? The read message should be retaining the read state and the deleted message should stay in the trash.

    Any suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Those emails look like this?:

I had the same problem, they were sent back in 1969, no sender, no subject. Restarted the mail app, then they were gone. This was on iOS4.

Unfortunately no... They are std messages... I can test with a new message with just a subject field and have it fail like this... Strange...
