Canadian going down to US to buy iPhone 4....what are my options?

Ill be damned if im going to wait until july to get my iphone 4! What methods can i go about acquring it directly from Apple (online or store) or ATT? (i dont want to buy it off ebay)

driving down anywhere in NY isnt a problem, but from what i gather, i cant buy it with att contract online on apple.com nor att.com .... can i walk into an att store and pay full price? and im assuming no matter what method all phone will be locked to ATT until the jailbreak/unlock is released!?

I'm guessing its a typo and you meant "withOUT an att contract". You can purchase an unsubsidized phone for $599 (16gb) or $699 (32gb) then wait til there is a jailbreak/unlock. You could just call apple and ask them what your options are. 1(800) 692-7753
