Restore question
Ok my sister locked herself out of her phone, she has no knowledge of electronics. I jailbroke it for her and she never did anything with it, lol. Anyways, now it is in "iphone is disabled mode, try again in 5,266,600 minutes". I want to just restore the thing, she gave it to me and bought a different phone, so basically I have 2 iphones now, lol, I figure I can really mess with this one if I can get it up and running. It isn't backed up anyways, hell she doesn't even have itunes installed. My question is can I restore it on my pc? I have itunes and a jailbroken 3gs, and I back mine up. I know it will restore to 3.1.3 and that's fine. I can get the phone in DFU mode easily. Or should I set up itunes on another pc?? I did some searching and reading, but I am a little confused. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated, thank you

yes you can restore it on your PC. It will keep the backups separate, just setup as new though.

Thank you very much for the quick reply Tiger92! Great, I can do it on my pc. How do I set it up as new though? I hooked it up in DFU mode just to make sure I could (before I posted the question) and the drivers installed and then in itunes all it said was "a device is detected in recovery mode", you know the rest, lol, but it didn't give me the option of setting anything up, I could click on restore, but I think that would be my other phone settings right? Thank you for your time!

if you click restore then it will restore it factory settings, then it will give you the option to put the backup of your phone on it.

I got it restored guys, thank you. Area51, I didn't need to bypass the passcode, but I looked that up, good info to know for the future.........Tiger, I ended up just installing a fresh itunes on another one of my pc's and restoring, then all I had to do was activate it with my sim. Worked great, thank you for your help!
