Probably a REALLY stupid question about restoring...

So, a friend is is on the way over here so I can jailbreak his phone. I jailbroke my 3GS with 3.1.3 FW with The Spirit, but I just remembered I had to restore my phone first. Can he use my machine to restore, or is there another stable method to jailbreak his, with the same FW?

I believe he can restore it "as new" on your computer and he'll have to add apps later also may want to manually backup contacts, calender, photos,etc. There's a thread on the manually backing up of data here somewhere.

Well, I told him that before I could do it, he was going to have to go home and do a backup and restore. I really didn't want to go through the hassle of manually doing it. In any case, thank you for your response and enjoy the 907!!
