Make app THINK it's on an iPhone when it's actually on the iPad

As the title suggests really! I have an app that is joint iPhone/iPad and as crazy as it seems I want to trick the app into thinking it's running on an iPhone when actually its on the iPad. Is there any way to do this by editing PLIST files??

It's the sky mobile tv app. I want to use the iPhone version rather than the iPad version. I've figured it out, reomoved the ipad device class from info.plist. Strafe result though, I get sound from the app but no video stream. Odd.
