    Default iphone 3g shutting off

into DFU mode every time. Can I fix this? Even during restore when it has to reboot it goes into DFU mode and I have to hold power and home for like 10 secs for it to come back on and reattach it to the pc.

I'd rather sell it on ebay as is. That would be expensive wouldn't it? Or get another board. It still works just every time I turn it off or it reboots it comes back in DFU mode. And I have to hold the two buttons.

Thanx but I know how to sell it, Just kinda hate to it's like my baby. I bought it with a cracked lcd and repaired it, got it for $230 and $20 for the lcd. before the 3GS when they were like $450 It has always been a little buggy, like having to wait for it to sync sometimes. Guess I will have to get some parts. Still works for now.

fixed my phone did full restore AND DID NOT USE UPDATE SETTINGS. Used new settings all is good. Just have to set everything up again.

ok that really didn't fix the phone only without cydia and it is not jailbroken it acts normal. But the second I add jailbreak and cydia it acts up again when turning off. But stock it runs fine. Guess time to sell it.

I actually fixed it I had to update to 3.1.3 and jailbreak with spirit now it works fine again. I wonder if it was the newest itunes not cooperating with me?

my 3G did this as well, but my lock button was also broken. imagine that, towards the end I had to restore it every time it shut off, which was like 2-3 times a day.

eventually I just bought my friends iPhone 3G with a busted LCD and put mine in his, I never looked back.
