iphone 3gs no data plan, apn setting..

Hi, I have a iphone 3gs with No data plan, Now i read on the unlockit website you can add custom apn settings and get data, question is will I be billed for it?

You still cant use the web or anything that requires data without a data plan. Just cuz you add apn doesnt give you data service.

What I mean is, even if you entered an APN, you wont be allowed to access web, safari (or whatever web browser you have) will tell you you dont have a cellular data service.

thats weird, i have no data plan and i added the custom apn and selected rogers and i was getting data not on wireless

Well then you should check your bill then

It could go either way. T-Mobile had (limited access) free web with a certain APN but that was stopped recently or doesnt work well anymore.

As far as I am concerned, you could be getting free web or be gettimg charged a whole heap of money.
