Iphone 3GS 16GB vs 32GB
Got a question about the 16GB iphone vs the 32GB!
What would the extra GB's be used for? Music and Videos?
The reason I ask as I do not use my Iphone for music or videos so would I be better of just getting the 16GB?

Apps/games & data for the apps also
I have a 16gb 3G with apps, games, music and videos and it has never been more than 1/2 to 3/4 full.Last edited by boozie; 05-12-2010 at 07:24 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I have a 32GB and it is slap full....wish it was more, 64gb would be nice.
But I have 80+GBs of music alone, 300+ movies, etc etc. So its not hard to fill.

I just checked and I have 2 full dvd's, 47 apps an 422 songs on mine + some misc photos and cycorder vids and I still have 9 out of 16gb free. I too have almost 80gb's of music, but don't put it all on at once. I probably would if I had a 120gb iPhone :-)

5GB's of apps.
5GB's of photos.
12GB's music.

I have about 4-6 gigs of music. Haven't checked since deleting a couple hundred songs from my library. Barely have any apps, so those probably only take up <2 gigs. And I don't keep many videos on my iPhone.
Since you don't really use it for music or videos, then you should definitely just get the 16GB.

I got the 16GB iPhone because I have a 64GB iPod touch.
My iPhone has
5.13 GB Music (606 Songs)
1.64 GB Apps (73 Apps)
My iPod has
17.94 GB Music (2149 Songs)
3.30 GB Apps (102 Apps)
So unlike most people I buy CDs and rip them at the highest quality VBR setting so my music likely take a bit more space than most. I had a 16 GB iPod in the beginning but I could not handle the lack of space.
I say if you do not plan on using the phone as the the music or video device then go for the smallest. What I do like is the quality of the speaker on the iPhone vs iPod. I like to play games it is far more plus it has a better grip than the paper thin iPod.
