    Hi. I accidently upgraded my iPhone 3Gs from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 which updated my baseband to 05.12.01.

    But I have my SHSH for 3.1.2 saved.

    Can I downgrade the baseband to 3.1.2 and unlock my iPhone???

    just use the new jailbreak spirit. i believe its can jailbrewak the new baseband

    You can downgrade Firmware but not Baseband (modem firmware)

    If you be at 05.12.01 your stuck there!

    If you are needing an unlock you going to have to just wait!

    Hmm yes I think thats the case. I wont be able to downgrade my baseband. Apple sucks or moreover Steve Jobs sucks.

    Have to wait till they release the new unlock for the 3.1.3 firmware

    There really should be more clarification in this area... Baseband and firmware seem to be a bit mixed up. Basebands need unlocking and firmwares need jailbreaking not the other way around -.- no wonder there are so many threads with noobs getting terms mixed up.
